Breast cancer awareness month is celebrated in October to raise awareness through the use of special events and public education.
As part of this effort, the 779th Medical Group (779 MDG) Women's Health Clinic, in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Support Group, held a speakers forum on Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., in Café Malcolm at the Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center.
"The purpose of the event was to help educate patients and staff about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and prevention and to offer comfort and support to those diagnosed or undergoing treatment," said Ms. Lisa Harrison, 779 MDG, Social Worker.
